The Department of ENT Head & Neck Surgery and Cochlear Implantation at Medical Trust Hospital performs advanced ENT procedures such as Cochlear Implant Surgery, Laryngectomy and Laryngopharyngectomy.
The Department was the first to start Cochlear Implant programme in Central Kerala. The programme provides evaluation of hearing loss, cochlear implant surgery and rehabilitation under one roof. The dept has a full-fledged vertigo clinic with multidisciplinary inputs from Neurology, Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology. The clinic has a sophisticated vestibular laboratory with all necessary investigatory facilities including Videonystagmography(VNG), the only one in South India.
