Medical Trust Hospital- Official Healthcare provider for the National Games events at Cochin

National Games authority has entrusted Medical Trust Hospital as the sole official health care provider for the events of the 35th National Games to be held in Cochin. The events will be spread in 5 venues in Cochin- Rajiv Gandhi Indoor stadium, Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Cochin International Airport convention centre, CIAL golf course and Munambam. All the events in these venues will be covered by the Sports medicine Department of Medical trust Hospital comprising of specialists in various specialties, paramedics, and a fleet of ambulances.
Sports Medicine is an important area where a lot of pioneering work has been done by Medical Trust Hospital as evidenced by it being preferred over others to provide medical assistance in Regional, National and International sport events in Kerala. The department has been the official health care provider for prestigious events in the state like the Volvo Ocean race India stop-over; Cricket One day Internationals and Indian Premier League. The development of a fully equipped Sports medicine facility inaugurated by Former Indian cricket team captain, Sourav Ganguly in 1997 has been the first of its kind in Kerala and still remains to be the most sought after one.
Rajiv Gandhi Indoor stadium Kadavanthra the main venue of the events in Cochin is already under the medical cover of Medical trust Hospital for over a decade. Honourable Chief Minister Sri oommen Chandy officially inaugurated of the medical facilities.
